I guess i've been neglecting the blog for the past two weeks so i have some catching up to do. It feels like we have been on the go since everyone has been here but i'm not too sure what we have been doing. Between working on the hall, visiting and all the congregation parties, time has flown by. Levis been painting signs for a local smoothie bar which we are hoping might lead to some more work.
Things seem to be moving fast at the hall now. They figure about two more weeks until the building is done. The roof trusses are up, the electrical is going in and the skim coat is almost done on the walls. It's amazing to watch everyone working together and how calm it is when half the people don't really know what they are doing. Haha. At what other construction site would you see that. One by one the construction team is starting to leave for other assignments. They have become such a part of the congregation that it's hard to see them go but i guess we are not the only ones in need. Once the hall is done they will all be moving on and it will be our responsibility to do the landscaping. Once that is done we can have the dedication and move on it.
Ok so for the last few weeks our hall has been so nicely decorated with twinkle lights and tinsel. The meetings have been so festive.

This was a really great job if you had any pent up frustration. I had to bend about 30 pieces of rebar into squares and rectangles.
Levi is a bit of a procrastinator so he was trying to finish his Spanish homework before our class after work. When will the boy learn.
The guys moving the beam from one end of the lot to the other. There were 4 of them that they had to move. Sometimes it's good to be a girl.
The beams were placed right before lunch so as soon as they got them in place they were propped up in the middle by a stick. Yes i said a stick was holding up two beams that had to be carried by 8 guys.
Ben's just chilln'. At least by now they replaced the stick with 2x4's and i think thry even had them bolted together.
Awwww finally our spa day arrived. So we started off by being rubbed with soap and sent to the sauna to let it soak in. We stayed as long as we could in the sauna but it was so hot and we had to come out for some air. Next we were scrubbed from head to toe then had our hair washed and our face covered with honey. Back to the sauna we went covered in honey. We had the honey and conditioner washed off then had a big bucket of cold water dumped on our heads. I know that sounds awful but it was actually refreshing.
Next we went to the relaxation room for some goodies and tea while we waited to be called in one by one for our 4 handed massage. It was amazing.
